Where can we get our Proteins from? (For Athletes & Bodybuilder)
"Athletes and bodybuilders do need more protein (building block) for their body, as their muscles are going through lots of wear and tear during the day. But, they do not need meat. They can easily fulfil their protein requirement by eating lentils (mung, sprouts, pulses, beans, grains, nuts and seeds.)
Think about it - all the animals that we chose to eat for protein, are vegetarian animals. Where's the logic in that? Do you know that a gorilla can lift something 2,000kg (as heavy as 30 humans), over 10 times its body weight. Their diet consists of stems, fruits and bamboo shoots. They do not eat meat. Where do you think they get their protein from? If there was no protein in grass and leaves, how would these animals have been so strong? It makes no sense to go through an animal to get the nutrient that the animal gets, because the animal ate plants.
Why do you think so many athletes around the world are turning vegan? The world record-holder in the 24-hour triathlon is Sixto Lenares who cycled 185 miles, swam 4.8 miles and ran 52.4 miles in a single day without dairy products, meat or eggs. The Canadian tennis player, Peter Burwash, decided to try living on a vegetarian diet. One year later, he was given the highest physical index of any athlete in Canada. Dave Scott, another vegetarian athlete, won the Ironman triathlon, six times.
Please watch the documentary 'Game Changers' on Netflix which shows why so many athletes & body builders are turning plant based (no meat, no milk, no eggs) now.
