Can we do dry fasting/ nirjala upwas?

Dry fasting is the most advanced form of fasting and has lots of benefits, however it should only be done by people who have prior experience with fasting.
 
We recommend starting with a 16 hour daily fast and a once a week juice fast. If this is comfortable, then do a 3-day juice fast while gradually reducing the number of juices consumed each day. This will help you move towards a water fast and then finally to once a week dry fast. This has to be a very gradual process and a dry fast should not exceed 2 to 3 days.
