what is hunger?how do we know the food is digested ?How do we know when to give it food?
1. It takes about 3 hours for fruits to digest, 6 hours for vegetables to digest and 18 hours for grains to digest. However, when we have grains with 3 times more vegetables, the digestion time would reduce.
2. When we feel hungry it could be because we have been used to eating a lot of food and therefore our stomach has become bigger in size and therefore demands more food. Stomachs are like elastic pouches, they increase and decrease in size according to our lifestyle. Feeling hungry doesn’t necessarily mean that we need food. It simply means that the stomach is expecting food. The best thing to remember at a time when you are feeling hungry is that this is the time that the cleaning and healing work is happening. Your Praanshakti is free to do its work!
3. We get a burp called the burp of hunger when the food is completely digested. We should ideally wait 1 hour after this burp and then eat food. During this 1 hour, the stomach is resting and restoring itself.
4. The assimilation of nutrients depends on the inner cleanliness and the overall health of the body. One may eat the most nutritious food but if the body is unclean and the general health level is low, it wouldn’t be able to absorb nutrients from the food.
