Can children also take an enema?

Children above age of 1 can take enema.

Please take special note of the following points if giving enema to a child - 

• Do not use more than 100 ml of water for a child. 
• Instead of a regular pipe, use a rubber catheter / nozzle for children. The rubber cather is softer than the regular pipe, and thus a safer option for kids. It can be found at a chemist. Below, we have attached a photo of the rubber catheter
