Can I practice Suryanamaskar if I have high blood pressure?
In Yoga, there have been no contraindications to practicing Suryanamaskar in case of high blood pressure. However, please keep the following things in mind -
1. Start slow and practice only 1 type A and 1 type B Suryanamaskar in the beginning and gradually increase the number
2. During the practice, go slow and don’t do the poses very fast or with intensity
3. Keep your environment cool and don’t practice in a very hot environment.
Also, please avoid inversions.
