Can you please suggest some modifications for people with neck pain?

Please try the below modifications.


1. Keep your spine straight while practicing asanas. If the back is rounded, the neck gets strained. 

2. Keep your shoulders away from your ears in twists, so the neck doesn't get tight 

3. When raising arms above the head, keep distance between arms and ears, opening the shoulders. Don't tighten the neck

4. Avoid asanas in which pressure comes on the neck like Bridge pose, Shoulder stand, and headstand. 

5. Avoid using hard pillows and if possible sleep without a pillow.
